F.E. News ItemF.E News - NEW CALAMITY JANE VIDEO

We are happy to present the new video from Frenetic Engineering - Wild West Country hilarity on the street and cabaret featuring the only female knife thrower in the UK.

CALAMITY JANE

Yeeeeeeeee ha ha ha!  She's rough, she's tough, she's well hard, so watch out mind.  All the way from the Wild West Country, our Calamity will win the hearts of the audience but it's pretty likely she'll end the show still without a boyfriend.

With her trusty steed Lightnin' she's been practicing a little number in her bedroom to impress Wild Willy.

A line dancing, lassoing, bad singing, stomping, knife throwing, hilarious and tragic adventure like you've never seen before.  Will she end up still talking to her childhood toy Lightnin'?  "Watch out, 'ees dangerous mind".  Or will she get the man of her dreams?  She'd love to Stand By her Man if only she could find one.

Straight talkin' Jane says it like it is in this unique and heart warming solo female show.

Perfect for cabaret and street shows.  Creating a warm, intimate atmosphere that everyone just has to join in with.

(performed at  Old Vic Tunnels (Waterloo, London), St Patrick's Festival (Dublin), Mint Fest, Winchester Hat Fair, Glastonbury Festival,  Festival of Desperation,  Cabaret of Curiosities)

QUOTES

I loved your character, the sweetness and wildness of it, your charisma gives Calamity strength to maintain the audience throughout the whole show and wanting Calamity to succeed.  How you build up the knife routine, its just as sharp as the knives, and as round and rhythmical as the lasso.

Nicholas Cubelli – Divertia (Spain)

“Calamity Jane proved a hit within the St Patrick’s Festival. Annabelle Holland presented a solo performance which caught the audience’s attention from the outset, as they empathised with the character, laughed along with the gags and were rootin’ for her to find her man.” Verena Cornwall Creative Director St Patrick’s Festival

"I haven't laughed so much in ages, thank you"  audience member Mint Fest

Meanwhile the brand NEW Sugar Plump Fairies spread their love of Christmas through the medium of ballet.  Not deterred by Santa not allowing them to sit at the top of the Christmas tree as they are too plump they will perform their interpretation of our favourite ballets.  These outsized pink lovlies will thaw the hardest hearts and even bring hilarity to the grumpiest Scrooge!  Mail us for pictures
